About Us

Dakota Creeks Chihuahuas Philosophy

All of our puppies live in our home. They have their own special room we call the "pup pup room". They have puppy play time in the summer in an outside fenced yard. Each has a sleep over in our bed. All pups are socialized and handled at birth.Pups are taken to work with me at a patients house who is ventilator dependent.

About the Breed

The chihuahua is a small petite rather brave dog. Native to Mexico. Chihuahuas come in many shapes sizes and color. They are loving and affectionate. They are loyal and love to please. Chihuahuas need to feel like part of the family. These little guys are easy to groom and usually live for 10-15 years. They are only an inside dog for they do not like the cold. This breed is great for apartment living and are fine for condo living. A little patience with potty training is all that is needed. Litter training is also an option. I suggest that if you have small children they may not be the right breed for you. Children could drop or step on your pup pup.
